Sierra Leone rap musician Amadu Bah also called King Boss LAJ collapsed in court on Monday October, 17th. Justice Adrian Fischer ordered the Prison Officers to provide him with immediate medical attention, but refused him bail for the seventh time. The popular rapper and government critic has been in detention since June 12, 2022 for alleged robbery with violence in the capital. His dreadlocks were shaved a day after his arrest. The rapper has denied the charge saying it’s a cook up charge to silence him.

LAJ has been struggling with his health lately since his detention, to the point that the Medical Officer of the Correctional Centre had to release a medical report to the court for their attention. LAJ’s lawyers applied for bail several times on the grounds of his deteriorating health condition. Unfortunately, that has not been granted by Justice Adrian Fischer. The rapper has a swollen tumor on the lower stomach and could barely stand upright in court this afternoon, according to his lawyer. His family, fans and friends were in tears when he collapsed and rushed out by the officers as ordered by the court. The matter adjourned to October 21st. His lawyer has also accused the prosecution of torturing his client mentally and emotionally including shaving off his dreadlocks, which is his identity.

Meanwhile, LAJ’s father Pa Bah who has also been very vocal about his son’s arrest and treatment, was also arrested by the police 48 hours ago. He has been taking on the police hard on the yardstick they use to shave his son’s dreadlocks after his arrest. He is now accused of trying to tamper with witnesses testifying against his son in court.
